Jesus is the good news of God’s promised and anointed king.

This claim is supported by three witnesses – John the Baptist as the last of the Old Testament prophets, the Father’s voice from heaven, and Jesus’ own testimony. The gospel is not good advice but good news about a person – Jesus, who is come to establish the Kingdom of Heaven.
